It would be remiss of me, having made note that Stuart Silbert received an Order of Australia, not to also note that Dick Pilpel has too. (I was not aware of Dick’s honour at the time I recognised Stuart’s award in Jewgle.)
Dick is very well known as the printer to the Jewish community (often for free or well below cost), as well as to many businesses around Perth. His outstanding service to our community includes
- JNF Blue Box collector for over 50 years
- established the Magen David Adom Diary – an essential in every Jewish home in WA
- past Board member and President of the Maurice Zeffert Home
