Two Israeli back-packers are lucky to be alive, after attempting to pose for a photo with a wild fresh-water crocodile, in Darwin. The pair, who took jobs as fisherman while trekking their way around Australia, were intrigued and excited when a large fresh water crocodile swam up next to their small dinghy. Not realising the danger, Novon Mashia leant into the water to try to coax the reptile closer to his boat.
The crocodile then leapt out of the water, very nearly taking Novon with it.His fishing partner and fellow Israeli backpacker, Doron Aviguy, who already had his camera in his hand, snapped the attached shot. |
