It is absolutely amazing to see that the community sederim are being well supported, and that many people who are distanced from Jewish community life are making an effort to recognise and join in the Jewish national festival of freedom.
Very few people locally seem to be aware that in addition to running Sedarim in the north, there is a Seder in Fremantle this weekend. You can read about it on http://passoveraustralia.com/fremantle.html
Each year Chabad makes a special effort to reach out to Jews in remote places. The Jewish community in Fremantle, heavily populated by Israeli’s, is one that is growing once again. Last week I was in Fremantle and casually heard Hebrew being spoken in the street.
Congratulations to Chabad for providing this facility in Western Australia.
