We’ve all seen the Norwegian doctor, Mads Gilbert, in Gaza, calling Israel murderers. He works hard to save the lives of Palestinian innocents and is a hero – a man on the spot who just wants to help, right?
How about a little background on this “impartial” source.
In 2001, in relation to the September 11 attacks in America, Gilbert stated:
“If the U.S. government has a legitimate right to bomb and kill civilians in Iraq, then there is also a moral right to attack the United States with the weapons they had to create…”
When asked if he supported terrorism:
“Terror is a bad weapon, but the answer is yes…”
Gilbert also criticises the medical group “Doctors without borders” because they “do not chose sides in a conflict and would treat either party”. That’s right Gilbert actively states he would not treat Israeli or American wounded.
Mad Gilbert is known to be a member of the political Red (Rodt) party, a revolutionary socialist party in Norway which actively support the Khmer Rouge. He has been a pro-Palestinian activist since the 1970’s and travelled to Lebanon in support of the Palestinians during the first Lebanon war in 1982.
Hardly a trustworthy or impartial observer. Once again, one wonders why the media either doesn’t bother to find this out or doesn’t want you to.
